The Journey to Dermastore

29.07.22

As a self-confessed skincare nerd, you can imagine that I know my way around a skincare store. I’m always on the hunt for new ingredients and interesting products to perfectly complete my skincare routine… It's safe to say that Dermastore® cemented my love for serums and led to my starting Beaut in the first place. In fact, it was during the pandemic, when I could not complete an online purchase on the Dermastore®, that I began thinking of how I could create my own range… (that tale continues in the podcast below).

I could not be prouder to announce Beaut’s launch on Dermastore® - South Africa's premier online skincare boutique. If it’s new to you, it features the best and most effective Dermatologist-endorsed cosmeceuticals in the world, so this really is a pinch-me, dream-come-true moment. What I liked most about the prospect of listing on Dermastore® was the opportunity to work with the people behind the brand. It is a family-owned business founded by Dr Ian Webster and Greg Webster in early 2015 that was built on a passion for skin health and skincare. The team measures their success by the well-being and satisfaction of their customers; this alignment, coupled with their market knowledge, their pursuit of continual advancement and the fact that they are just really nice people, is what cemented my eagerness to form an association.

I recently joined Dermastore's Greg Webster (Co-founder/ MD) and Lara Wicksteed (Head of Content/Education) on their Podcast where we discuss the journey of Beaut, from standing in my kitchen dreaming up a skincare range to the rigorous testing Dermastore® put the Beauts through, and all that that it took to launch a skincare brand in South Africa.
